We Are Carbon Neutral

Each year, billions of tons of CO2 gases are emitted into the atmosphere. These carbon emissions contribute to global climate change, pollute the air we breathe, and present a tremendous threat to our planet. It’s critical that we act quickly and collectively.

GoMacro is committed to helping lead the way towards a more sustainable future. Our facilities use 100% renewable energy and are 100% carbon neutral. We hope to inspire people and businesses to embrace alternative energy and reduce, reuse, and recycle. We believe that reducing our carbon footprint is a big step toward a more sustainable future.

To achieve carbon neutrality, any CO2 emissions released into the atmosphere from production activities must be offset with an equivalent amount of support for sustainability initiatives that reduce atmospheric CO2. For companies, carbon neutrality requires calculating their carbon footprint, then embarking on initiatives that reduce it to zero. This can be achieved internally by increasing efficiency measures and externally by supporting emission reduction projects with organizations like carbonfund.org.

To help sustain our planet, we’ve been utilizing 100% renewable energy to power our production facility since December 2018. Our journey to green manufacturing began in summer 2017. In October 2018, we finished the installation of 844 solar panels on the roof of our facility with the help of Ethos Green Power, a local, woman-owned solar company. To supplement our solar panels and meet our growing needs, GoMacro purchases renewable energy credits (RECs) for wind power. Our facility is currently powered by 319,910 kWh of solar energy and 661,340 kWh of wind energy with 57,560 kWh donated back to the grid.

In our commitment to helping preserve the planet, we’ve aligned with carbonfund.org as our Carbonfree® Partner. In partnership, we calculate our carbon footprint quarterly and ensure our plan will offset our emissions. We help fight climate change by ensuring our products are sustainably sourced and obtained through environmentally responsible vendors.

As we move forward, GoMacro will continue to Tread Lightly by supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives utilizing 100% renewable energy and remaining 100% carbon neutral at our facilities.
