In fact, we dive deep into a rigorous vetting process to ensure our partners share our values and meet our high standards. GoMacro’s Standards for Suppliers

Taste

Healthy ingredients are fundamentally important, but they don’t mean anything if our bars don’t taste great! Food is fuel and nourishment, but it should also be enjoyable and something you look forward to. We want every bite to be a delightful experience, which means we carefully select ingredients that not only meet our nutritional standards but also deliver on flavor. Our suppliers must consistently provide ingredients that elevate the taste of our bars, ensuring that they're both nutritious and delicious.

Certifications

To guarantee quality, we require that our suppliers meet the standards for a lot of certifications (8 and counting!), including USDA Certified Organic, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Non-GMO. Testing and certifying our final products ensures that our MacroBars®, and each of the individual ingredients, are produced following rigorous standards for health and safety. These recognizable certifications also make it possible for those with specific dietary needs to find delicious snacks that suit their lifestyle!

We are proud of our long list of certifications and hope to set a gold standard for the quality and integrity of the foods we eat. We are also dedicated to continuously seeking new ways to validate and certify our processes and ingredients, ensuring ongoing transparency and the highest quality for both our customers and consumers.

Going the Extra Mile

Our team does an incredible job finding and vetting suppliers who meet our rigorous standards, but what happens when the right supplier simply doesn’t exist? We make an ingredient ourselves!

When we launched our Double Chocolate + Peanut Butter Chips MacroBar, we did an extensive search for a vegan peanut butter chip supplier that met our high standards. Unfortunately, we found ourselves disappointed by the options available. Rather than compromise or settle, we decided to take matters into our own hands! By manufacturing our own vegan peanut butter chips in-house, we ensure that every chip meets our high standards for taste and nutrition.

Although it was a much larger endeavor than our typical ingredient sourcing, we’re proud of our decision to always do things The GoMacro Way. Not only was this the right decision to uphold our standards, but our delicious peanut butter chips have become a long-standing fan favorite! In fact, we have received many requests to purchase them on their own! Maybe one day... but for now, you can enjoy them in our Peanut Butter and Double Chocolate + Peanut Butter Chips MacroBars, Double Chocolate + Peanut Butter Chips MacroBar® Minis, and our Peanut Butter Cup Kids MacroBars®.

Our relationships with suppliers are built on mutual trust and collaboration. We take pride in creating long-term partnerships and even make trips to visit our partners like the Ancient Brands Milling organic brown rice farm and the Once Again Nut Butters organic almond farm. By understanding their processes and philosophy more deeply, we can ensure each of our ingredients is made in a way that aligns with our values. These visits allow us to foster strong relationships, share knowledge, and support each other in our common goal of providing delicious snacks you can trust!
