GoMacro® Partners with Farm Sanctuary for Eighth Consecutive Year

At GoMacro®, we’re on a mission to spread awareness for a balanced, plant-based lifestyle, and Farm Sanctuary, our Give Back partner for May, shares our commitment through their work in animal advocacy. For the eighth year in a row, a portion of net proceeds from May sales of our Peanut Butter MacroBar® will be donated to Farm Sanctuary. The nonprofit organization promotes just, compassionate vegan living by pursuing bold solutions to end animal agriculture. Our partnership with Farm Sanctuary supports several of their initiatives, including:

• Rescue: Providing safety and sanctuary to heal rescued animals and fundamentally impact the people who hear their stories and witness their will to live
• Educate: Engaging the public with a message of love and compassion for farm animals through tours, classroom visits, social media, and traditional media campaigns to create change in the world
• Advocate: Working across farmer, worker, environment, health, community, justice, and animal-centered movements to advance compassionate, just, and sustainable progress across food system supply chains

Advocating for Healthy People, Animals, and Planet

In 1986, Farm Sanctuary President and Co-Founder, Gene Baur, rescued the one live sheep from an otherwise grim scene at the historic Lancaster Stockyard in Pennsylvania. That sheep, later named Hilda, and her rescue were the beginning of Farm Sanctuary, the first American shelter for farm animals.

Since then, Farm Sanctuary has grown the farm animal sanctuary movement and continues to be a prominent voice for farm animals nationwide. Today, at Farm Sanctuary’s Los Angeles, CA and Watkins Glen, NY Sanctuaries you will find nearly 1,000 rescued animals who help educate visitors about the negative impacts of factory farming on health, the planet, and social justice.
