Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Position: Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Reports to: Director of Operations

 

Purpose: Oversee and manage the accurate, timely processing, and fulfillment of customer orders.  Manage the shipping and receiving activities in all the company’s warehouses, including the coordination and arrangement of freight shipments both in and outbound.  Ensure all inbound items and outbound items are received and delivered in on time by coordinating with vendors, internal stakeholders, including production scheduling to meet these demands.

  • Oversee order processing and entry of initial customer P.O.s
  • Manage all warehouse activities across multiple warehouse locations, including but not limited to receiving, shipping, material handling, inventory management, and order fulfillment
  • Manage departmental staffing needs and training
  • Organize and manage annual budgets and periodic budget reporting for the department
  • Function as part of operations’ management team
  • Coordinate with supply chain management team to assure on-time delivery of packaging, ingredients, and various other supplies
  • Production scheduling to meet inventory and customer demand
  • Establish and maintain relationships with logistics and transportation related business partners
  • Lead, train, mentor, and coach subordinates to company and legal standards
  • Comply with safety and company policy
  • Establish and report to management various departmental KPI’s and metric showing successful execution and management of the department
  • Adhere to all GoMacro safety rules/guidelines, and even general obvious hazardous in your work area whether or not a specific safety rule or policy exists

Requirements:

  • Some University level education with an emphasis in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Management, or 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar position
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and positive
  • Must be a self-starter – have initiative
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude
  • Exceptional relationship builder with internal and external partners, vendors, and event coordinators
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Clear and concise verbal and written skills
  • Problem-solving skills and desire to bring solutions to challenging business problems
  • Must be able to work with other departments, including accounting, production, scheduling, and purchasing
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), WMS, Internet Browsers and experience with ERP software platforms (SAP B1 preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions or procedural manuals
