Their clinical research programs break new ground in diabetes, cancer and other diseases and they have medical experts on all aspects of health and disease prevention. Their high ethical standards are helping to eliminate experiments on animals as well as unethical human experiments.
Play in the Wild organizes youth wilderness treks and GoMacro provides tasty and delicious snacks to all participants. Donations enable the organizers to offer these trips at a lower cost and to offer scholarships to low-income youth and families.
Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary is a 400 acre non-profit refuge for farm animals and wildlife located in Poolesville, Maryland. GoMacro sponsored their 5th Annual “Run for the Animals” on May 18, 2008 and again in 2009. This was a fundraiser dedicated to helping neglected and abandoned animals. The sanctuary relies totally on donations and they provide a home for unwanted farm animals as well as promoting the humane treatment of all animals.
GoMacro provided an energy boost for all the participants of the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey 2009– a relay running event in the Reno Lake Tahoe region by donating energy bars for all participants.
MacroTreats and MacroBars are a favorite among the families who participate in Sunreach. Sunreach is an outdoor education program located in California which provides backpacking and river rafting trips as adjuncts to school environmental education programs. The program includes both adult and family backpacking and river rafting. All the meals are designed to be nutritious and healthy, using foods that are whole and do not contain preservatives, additives and excitotoxins.

I listened to Mena Trott, co-founder of Six Apart, a 2002 start-up that started the blogging boom talk about the early days of blogging. Very entertaining.
